Standing on New Ground

$28.95

You stayed. You moved through the crisis and then through the long, uncertain work of rebuilding. Now the questions are different. What has actually returned? What has staying cost you—and what has it given you? What parts of the marriage have genuinely changed? What still needs attention? And who are you now that your life is no longer organized entirely around what happened? Standing on New Ground is about the next stage: recognizing what has been rebuilt, protecting it, grieving what remains, and intentionally constructing the life and marriage you want to inhabit now.

What Is This Workbook?

Standing on New Ground is Volume III of The Storm Series · For Her, written for the woman who chose to stay and has moved through both the acute storm and the Long Middle. The work here is intentionally different.

It is less about survival and more about construction—looking honestly at the marriage that exists now, what has rebuilt, what staying has cost, what remains unresolved, and the woman you have become through the process. Across 12 modules and five phases, the workbook moves through trust, marriage identity, intimacy, remaining triggers, accountability, children, disclosure, and the life being built beyond recovery.

When Recovery Is No Longer the Whole Story

Moving forward can bring unexpected emotions. There may be relief because life feels more stable, grief because something can never return to what it was, pride in what you have built, or sadness about what staying required from you. These experiences do not cancel one another.

Volume III creates room to acknowledge both sides: what has genuinely healed or rebuilt and what still carries a cost. The purpose is not to manufacture a happy ending. It is to see clearly what exists now and decide how you want to live inside it.

How Does the Workbook Work?

Each module takes one aspect of life after the Long Middle and brings it into focused reflection. You will examine evidence of rebuilt trust, reclaim your marriage identity, explore intimacy on your own terms, identify remaining triggers, think about accountability without allowing the relationship to remain permanently organized around the betrayal, and consider what children and the outside world now see.

The work also turns toward you: what you have carried, what you no longer need to hold, and what kind of woman you are becoming. The workbook explicitly frames itself as a workspace rather than a performance, with no required pace.

What Does the Process Look Like?

12 modules · 5 phases

  • Arriving Here: Recognize what the Long Middle required, what it gave, and what is true about the life you inhabit now.
  • What Has Actually Rebuilt: Take inventory of trust, marriage identity, and intimacy without measuring recovery against an imagined return to the past.
  • What Remains—and What to Do With It: Work with remaining triggers, accountability, and the practices that protect what has been built.
  • The World Outside the Marriage: Consider children, disclosure, privacy, and the story you carry forward beyond the relationship.
  • Building and Becoming: Turn toward the marriage you are creating and the woman who is creating it.

Look Inside

Standing on New Ground is not asking you to revisit the betrayal endlessly. The pages inside help you take inventory of what is true now: what has returned, what has changed, what still hurts, what you are proud of, and what you want to protect as life becomes larger than recovery again. The sample pages offer a closer look at that next stage of the work.
